INSPECTIONS/ MAINTENANCE/ REPAIRS

Not having an immediately local music store is a drag sometimes. Minor (mechanical) repair & adjustment service is available from Sonic Spotlight Productions within Crawford County only (for now) for most privately-owned woodwind and brass instruments, as well setups and light custom work on bolt-on necked electric guitars and basses (contact us HERE for questions about custom work).

Used instruments can present an affordable option that many music stores won't recommend due to their overhead/ profit margins. These instruments often need a bit of attention, but are often more durable and can still provide considerable savings.

INSPECTIONS

For $25 (shipping - including return shipping - NOT included but can be arranged at your cost ) we will inspect any of the following instruments:

  • Flute
  • Clarinet
  • Saxophone (Alto or Tenor)
  • Trumpet
  • Trombone
  • Snare Drum
  • Electric Guitar
  • Electric Bass
We will make recommendations, but if your instrument doesn't need anything…that's it. $25 plus shipping.

MAINTENANCE/ REPAIRS

This service is offered at a flat rate of $25 per hour, per instrument - which if you're in Crawford County OH includes pickup and delivery of the instrument, including:

  • Trumpets
  • Trombones
  • Snare Drums
  • Electric Guitars
  • Electric Basses
Instruments that can be cleaned and repaired within four hours will be accepted with approval - with a maximum of $100 charged. This might include polishing, cleaning, and fixing lose screws and/ or screw holes. If small parts or strings are needed, there will be additional charges.

Repairs that could exceed four hours or require parts or accessories that we cannot get will be returned to the owner without charge with references to full-service repair shops.

(Due to porous surfaces & components on Flutes, Clarinets, and Saxophones, we do NOT offer maintenance and repairs on these instruments, but we will recommend (and in some cases can arrange) an instrument repair shop to do the work.)

We're dedicated staying in communication while we complete the work on your instrument, and pictures and questions will be asked and answered while we finish your project - and we have insurance to protect everyone involved and the instrument.
