We've seen local bands, local music venues, and local music fans all start to dry up, and we think the message is loud and clear:

The way things work isn't actually working for anyone.

We think we can help - and its by being reasonable and realistic that paying musicians/ bands "guarantees" just isn't the way forward.

In the old way of doing things, bands didn't want to have to sell tickets, and neither did the venues. "Guarantees" seemed like an answer, but it complicated the issue of who should promote the show, when really the only way it works is when both groups are.

Events produced by Sonic Spotlight Productions are marketed and advertised by Sonic Spotlight Productions using a simple pricing structure:

• $3/ ticket to Sonic Spotlight Productions to cover sales tax and advertising & promotion of your event ($4 if a band/ musician does not choose help with promotions (sharing posts, etc.)
• $2/ ticket to the VENUES to help offset costs for hiring sound technicians, adding additional staff, and of paying for annual public performance licensing.
• The remaining amount - up to a total $10 - $15 (maximum) ticket price - goes to the musicians.

Using this approach, our goal for first-time client musicians & bands will always be to increase the turnout by at least 30% compared to your last event. If you can demonstrate (with receipts) that we were not able to hit or exceed that mark, Sonic Spotlight Productions will credit the musician/ band one additional dollar per ticket sold.
