(ATTENTION: AS OF 6/26/26, THE BUCYRUS CITY SCHOOLS BOARD OF EDUCATION IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR BAND DIRECTOR/ INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC TEACHER (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1EkbEA11gW/?mibextid=wwXIfr). BEFORE APPLYING FOR, INTERVIEWING FOR, OR ACCEPTING THIS POSITION, PLEASE CONSIDER REQUESTING THE FOLLOWING ASSURANCES:

1. THAT THE DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION AND ATHLETIC DIRECTOR WORK TO FACILITATE THE ELIMINATION OF CONFLICTS BETWEEN COACHES, SPORTS PRACTICES AND THE INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PROGRAM.

2. THAT THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY FOR SELECTING/ SCHEDULING/ "BOOKING" PERFORMANCES FOR ENSEMBLES BELONGS TO THE INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC TEACHER AND NOT THE MUSIC BOOSTERS OR ANY OTHER ENTITY.

3. THAT THE DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION IS OFFERING ITS FULL SUPPORT TO EFFORTS TO ALIGN MUSIC INSTRUCTION ACROSS GRADE LEVELS IN THE DISTRICT'S MUSIC DEPARTMENT TO FINALLY ENABLE MUSIC INSTRUCTION TO OCCUR PROGRESSIVELY, BUILDING ON PRIOR CONCEPTS ACCORDING TO PRESCRIBED STANDARDS.
